Most of Richard Bland’s working life has been involved in selling Tractors & Combine list to both Home & Export markets.
The Bland family have for two centuries been involved in giving service to the UK farming community. During the late 1700 & the 1800s the family were involved in importing the seed of the fruit Annatto from the West Indies which was sold to farmers for colouring cheese - it was also used for colouring fish - leather and other products. In later years the firm Fullwood & Bland marketed Rennet which was used in the making cheese process (obtained from the third stomach of a calf) it helps curdle the milk. After these years they were involved in selling and manufacturing both Fullwood & Manus milking machines throughout the world.
During the 1940s the Bland family purchased the farm machinery business of George Oakley & Co selling both Fordson - Massey Harris & McCormick machines- over the next fifty years considerable diversification took place but the farming community was always their principle customer. During the 1980s the company was employing over 200 persons and was No 1 UK Ford Tractor dealer. Today we are involved in selling both
